Shamrock Lake & Lake David are the largest and are connected. Shamrock Lake has a concrete boat launch. Island Lake has a dirt boat launch. North Lake is best fished from the dam, but a small boat could be launched by hand. Gooseneck Lake is best for shoreline fishing or with waders.
Each of the 3 Lodges has it's own dock and 2 row boats. Boat motors with fuel are available for rent. For your convenience, a fish cleaning station is furnished for your use outside at each of the 3 Lodges. There is an screened-in fish cleaning station by the boat launch on Shamrock Lake, available for all to use.
All sportsmen must be licensed by, and act in accordance with, the regulations and laws of the State of Michigan.
DO NOT use live minnows or other live aquatic species that have been wild-collected outside Reed Ranch as bait. Other live bait such as insects, worms, etc., are acceptable.
We have been encouraging our guests to practice catch & release for over a decade, and the fishing has improved significantly. Thanks to all for their participation! Please don’t keep more fish than you can eat in one day. The fishing is better for everyone if you limit what you keep, rather than keeping your limit.
Reed Ranch Minimum Sizes Requested:
18" for Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass
34" for Northern Pike
All boats, motors, trailers and related equipment brought by guests should be thoroughly washed and then allowed to dry for at least 5 days (two weeks is best).
This is to help prevent the invasion of harmful species of aquatic plants & animals into our lakes that will eventually hinder your enjoyment.
